Why should I submit a report?

Compliance with statutory, social and internal organisational rules is part of a positive and open company culture. Each individual can contribute to responsible adherence to these standards and values. Perhaps you are aware of behaviour or risks that endanger our company. With your report, you help to identify potential risks at an early point in time and avert possible damages for ista.

We would like to effectively protect you as whistleblower and offer you a communication platform secured with the newest technologies to permit the submission of personalized or anonymous reports.

What types of reports help ista?

In principle, the following considerations apply: Legal violations can take very different forms, meaning that in addition to classic violations such as the sharing of confidential business information by employees or managers and accepting benefits or gifts, many other types of incidents that go beyond the limits established in the ista guidelines are also conceivable. Reports on business crimes such as fraud, theft, breach of trust, corruption or manipulation of business transactions and insider trading are particularly helpful.

What is the process for submitting a report? How do I set up a postbox?

To submit a report anonymously or by name, start by clicking the “Submit Report” button located on the top left side of our introduction page.

The reporting process consists of 4 steps:

1. First, you will be asked to read the information on the protection of your anonymity and to answer a security query.
2. On the following page, you will be asked about the category of your report.
3. On the report page, you can elaborate on your report in your own words and answer questions about the case by selecting responses. You can type up to 5,000 characters into the free text field, which corresponds to a full page. You may also submit a file of up to 5 MB to support your report. Please bear in mind that documents can contain information about the author. Following the submission of your report, you will receive a reference number to confirm that you have sent this report.
4. Please subsequently set up your own secured postbox. You will receive feedback from us via this postbox, including answers to questions and information about the progress of your report.

If you already have a secured postbox, you can access it directly via the ‘Login' button. First, you will have to answer a security query.

As long as you do not enter any data from which conclusions about your person can be drawn, the technology of the BKMS^® System will protect your anonymity.

Please rest assured that we are interested only in the case you are reporting. Malpractices must be revealed and financial losses prevented.

How do I receive feedback?

The overriding principle of the BKMS^® procedure used here is the protection of the whistleblower. The technical methods for ensuring the confidentiality of the data are certified and can be evaluated by you at any time.

When setting up your postbox, you will select a pseudonym and password. Your report is kept secured by encryption and other special security routines.

An examiner will provide you with feedback via this postbox informing you about what is happening with your report or asking questions should any individual points be unclear.
